Scuba Diving Is Super Cool!
Is your age between 8 and 12 years old, and you want to become a Scuba Diver? Here is the opportunity to join BIDP's Seal Team while you having your vacation and holidays with your parents here in Bali, Indonesia.
Do you know people who sometimes have a cilinder on their back and wearing special gear to go underwater, and you ever wondered that it would be great to join them? Now is it possible with PADI Seal Team.
The Seal Team is very cool, and together with Alano, Shina, Kiros, Daria, Blade and of course our mascot Paddy the seal, they are all ready to make you a PADI Seal!
You will learn Scuba diving and be able to have adventures and thrilling experiences underwater, enjoy the feeling of flying underwater! It will be great to tell your experiences to your friends when you get back at home after your adventures in Bali.
To become a PADI Seal Team member, you have to finish the first 5 of the 15 possible "Aquamissions".
Prerequisites
To start the PADI Seal Team children / kids dive course, you need to:
- Be of age 8 - 12 years
- Have Basic swimming skills and feel comfortable in the water
- Filling out and signing the Seal Team and medical declaration forms with parents or guardian
PADI Seal Team Course Is Built Up With The Following:
- Working and reading the Aquamission activity workbook.
- Watching the Aquamission video.
- Interactive Briefing - You get explanation about the subjects learned from the Aquamission workbook by BIDP's Seal Team Instructor. You will be able to ask all your questions before your missions in the pool start.
- 5 Aquamissions - You will make 5 dives in a pool and learn Safe Scuba Diving. The Aquamissions contain a lot of fun exercises and games explained and played with your PADI Seal Team Instructor. You will learn to breath underwater and how to use a diving mask and swim around underwater with fins and Scuba gear. Every mission is starting with a briefing by the instructor.
What Is An Aquamission
An Aquamission is one scuba dive, a big underwater adventure in which you learn to Scuba dive step by step in the pool. The first part of the PADI Seal Team course consists of 5 Aquamissions.
What To Learn During The Required 5 Aquamissions
- In Mission 1 you will built experience and learn to get underwater with your Scuba diving gear after properly adjusting your mask, fins and BCD (Buoyancy Control Device). You will learn underwater breathing and communication by using handsignals, be able to tell if the amount of air in your Scuba cilinder is sufficient. You will learn how to equalize the pressure on your ears underwater. Finally there will be some fun games to exercise what you have learned during this mission.
- During Mission 2 You will learn and exercise how you can take the breathing regulator from your mouth underwater and how to get the water out when you put it back in your mouth by using the purge button on the regulator. How to equalize the pressure of the water on your diving mask and how to inflate and deflate your BCD. Exercise these steps with some nice games.
- Mission 3 Will learn you how to get the water out of your diving mask when it gets partly flooded and we will switch to a spare regulator that will be handed to you by your instructor. Also during this mission, you will learn some more underwater signs to communicate.
- Mission 4 is about Learning how to find back your breathing regulator from behind your shoulder when it slips from your mouth underwater. Now you are ready to get the grips on your buoyancy, how to hover underwater and feel like an astronaut flying in space, Now You Are Diving! There will be some games to get the right and sufficient skills.
- You will learn snorkeling during Mission 5. Blow out the water from the snorkel when it gets in. Exchange snorkel for your regulator and regulator for snorkel at the water surface. Swim at the surface while wearing Scuba gear and breathing through the snorkel. Some games will make your skills.
Master Seal Specialty Aquamissions
After you have become a PADI Seal Team member and like to learn more about Scuba diving, you can become a Master Seal Team Member by completing the rest of the 10 Aquamissions. The other Aquamissions are:
- Creature ID Specialist
- Inner Space Specialist
- Night Specialist
- Search & Recovery Specialist
- Snapshot Specialist
- Environmental Specialist
- Navigation Specialist
- Safety Specialist
- Skin Diver Specialist
- Wreck Specialist
When you have become 12 years of age, you can continue with the Junior Open Water Diver Course. During that dive course you will learn Scuba diving outside of the pool.
