PADI Boat Diver Specialty Course

The PADI Boat Diver Specialty Course will tell you all you have to know about diving from any boat. You will learn how to get in the water aswell as getting on the boat again when the dive is finished. Where and how to store your equipment on the boat in a safe way and where is the best place to be during the ride to the divesites.

The 2 necessary dives to get certified for this Boat Diver Specialty course will be conducted from BIDP's speed boats here in Bali, Indonesia. These dives will be conducted around Nusa Penida island, south-east of Bali and can be done in 1 day. You will develop skills, knowledge and techniques that are needed to make a boat dive in the safe way.

Course Overview

This specialty Scuba diving course covers the needed knowledge, practical skills and techniques for Boat Diving. The course is equally divided in theoretical knowledge development lessons in BIDP's classroom and open water training sessions from 1 of BIDP's speedboats. The following will be included in this specialty course:

  1. Planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and the problems and hazards of conducting Scuba diving from a boat.
  2. You will learn proper boat diving etiqette. The best way of personal equipment storage and personal conduct and conciderations for care of the boat.
  3. Basic and common boat terminology.
  4. And overview of emergency and safety equipment needed on-board any diving boat.

Prerequisites

  • Be a certified scuba diver at the level of PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver (or an appropriate certification from another dive training organisation);
  • Minimum age of 14 years;
  • Evaluate and sign the PADI medical statement.
