When you already have Scuba diving certification and want to expand your knowledge and skills beyond recreational diving level, Technical Diving can be the way to go during your diving holidays in Bali, Indonesia.

Guided Tech dives are also possible when you already are a certified Technical Diver and spend your vacation or holidays here in Bali. A special video shooting can be arranged to record your underwater adventures, and will be presented to you on DVD. When you know how to edit digital video and are familiar with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, you are allowed to edit the final product yourself on our editing hardware in our office in Sanur.

Here at BIDP in Sanur Bali you can enlarge your knowledge and skills of Scuba diving by taking part in Technical Diving courses which will learn you about:

  • Nitrox, Enriched Air (EANx) Technical Diving;

BIDP's Technical Diving Equipment

We have our own filling station in Sanur and mix all diving gasmixes ourself. We use Bauer Mariner compressors which are well maintained and deliver clean fillings. BIDP uses own Luxfer aluminium Scuba Cylinders which get annually inspected, cleaned and tested to ensure your and our own safety of equipment. We use OMS and Dive Rite Wings and Stainless Backplates. Regulators are made by Scubapro.

 

What Is Technical Diving

Technical Diving is a form of Scuba Diving beyond the scope of recreational diving. Technical divers extend their diving skills with advanced training, building extensive experience and knowledge to be able to conduct Scuba dives using mixed gasses like Trimix and Heliox in a save way.

Scuba diving with compressed air is expanded to decompression diving and the proper use of deco stage tanks containing enriched air (Nitrox) during ascending and necessary deco stops. Switching to Nitrox mixes will be conducted according the MOD (maximum operating depth) of the used enriched air mix(es) and a maximum ppO2 at particular depth.
