* Deep Air Diver - Tech Diving Course *

The IANTD Deep Air Diver Program is developed to provide responsible dive training to Scuba divers who plan to dive to 39 msw (130fsw) using compressed air (21% Oxygen). The IANTD Deep Air Program will train divers in skills, performance, theory and the planning of deep air dives. This program remains within the commonly practiced depth of 39 msw (130fsw).

It is the first sanctioned program to provide proper international training in safe, deep air diving skills and performance. It is recommended that this is taught in conjunction with the IANTD EANx Diving program.

PREREQUISITES:

Must be an IANTD Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent with at least 10 logged dives.
Minimum age of 15 yrs. With parent or guardian authorization, or a minimum of 12 yrs of age for Junior Diver qualificiation, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval.

DAY 1 - Morning Classroom:

  • Equipment configuration
  • Confined Water Training
  • Working on skills and standards and procedures

DAY 1 - Afternoon Classroom:

  • Dive planning
  • Gas management
  • Dive 1 - OW Depth 27-39msw (90-130fsw)
  • Dive 2 - OW Depth 9-27msw (30-90fsw)

DAY 2 - Morning Classroom:

  • O2, Nitrogen Narcosis
  • Decompression Theory
  • Hypothermia

DAY 2 - Afternoon: 2 Dives

  • Dive 3 Depth 27-39msw (90-130 fsw) - Drift/Elective
  • Dive 4 Depth 9-30msw (30-100 fsw) - Night Dive
  • Early evening written exam
